CASE STUDY: NEPAL DRYER BALL PROJECT

Nepal Dryer Balls handmade

For the 2019 holiday season, we collaborated with our friends at doTERRA to create a beautiful set of wool dryer balls handmade in Nepal.

SOCIAL IMPACT

Together, we provided dignified work and stable income for 270 women in Nepal. We partnered with Raksha Nepal, a shelter for survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation, to create the custom cotton bags included with each set. This order provided a full year of shelter housing for 100 women, and as a direct result of this project, women made 2-3 times more than usual which allowed them to go beyond providing the necessities and start saving for the future.

A STORY OF HOPE

One artisan shared, “when I became a widow, I was in despair because I had no education to find a good job as a single mother. Now that I am making wool balls, I have hope again and have income to feed my children.”
